Automatically Mount Virtual Hard Disk at Startup in Windows

In previous posts I told you about creating virtual hard disk in Windows 8, 8.1 & 10 , creating virtual hard disk in Windows 7 , mounting and unmounting virtual hard disks in Windows 8, 8.1 &10 and mounting and unmounting virtual hard disks in Windows 7 . Now I am going to tell you how you can make a virtual hard disk automatically mount at startup in Windows 7 and above. Some versions of Windows 10 will not unmount the virtual hard disk until you restart the computer. So you can mount a virtual hard disk and then turn off your computer and then turn it on to see what happens and then restart your computer to see what happens. In the previous article I taught you  how you can create a virtual hard disk .  Now I am going to tell you how can you mount and unmount a hard disk in Windows 7. Attaching (Mounting) a Virtual Hard Disk: 1. Press WindowsKey + R to open run. Type  diskmgmt.msc  and press enter. 2. Click inside the upper box (See the screenshot beow). 3.  Now click on the  Action  menu. 4.  Select  Attach VHD. 5.  In the next window that opens, click on  Browse 6.  The Windows Explorer will open. Navigate to the folder which contains the virtual hard disk file (*.vhd) and select the virtual hard disk. Then press  Open. 7.  Click on  Ok 8.  The virtual hard disk will be attached. A virtual hard disk is disk image file for storing the complete contents of a hard disk. Creating a virtual hard disk in your computer is a great option because they are portable and work like a local hard disk. It is a great alternative to partitioning your hard disk. In this tutorial I will tell you about creating a virtual hard disk in Windows 7. 1. Press WindowsKey + R to open run. Type diskmgmt.msc and press enter. 2. Click inside the upper box (See the screenshot beow). 3. Click the Action menu. 4. Select Create VHD. 5.  Click on  browse 6.  Navigate to the folder where you want to keep your virtual hard disk and type a name for your virtual hard disk file in the File name box.
