How to run GW-BASIC in full screen with syntax highlighting in 32 bit and 64 bit windows?

Today I am going to tell you about running GWBASIC in 32 bit and 64 bit Windows.
GWBASIC is an interpreter for BASIC (Beginners All purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) Language. This language was designed for beginners to learn programming. But being an old language it does not work properly in most 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems which is discouraging for beginners.
But there is no need to worry if you love programming and having difficulties in using this interpreter in your version of Windows. "Every problem in the world has a solution", so I am presenting two solutions to this problem. The first one is to run GWBASIC in full screen with syntax highlighting and the second one is for running GWBASIC in full screen without syntax highlighting.

1.Using GW-BASIC package by Umer Softwares:

I have developed a piece of installation package which uses DosBox to run GW-BASIC and also provides SYNHILI syntax highlighting. You can download it from here. It runs GWBASIC 3.22 inside the DosBox emulator. It must be installed in the default directory of "C:\Program Files\Umer Softwares\GWBASIC" otherwise it will not work properly.
Details for GWBASIC Full screen with syntax highlighting by Umer Softwares:
Device: Desktop Computer or Laptop
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP/7/8/10
Hardware: No Extra Hardware Required
Storage: At least 4.8 MB free disk space in disk C:\
Install Location: It must be installed in the default location “C:\Umer Softwares\GWBASIC” otherwise it will not work properly.
You can click the button below to download it.

2.Using PC-BASIC Emulator:
Another way to solve this problem is using PC-BASIC which is an emulator for BASIC language. Being an emulator, it will not give you the exact experience as the real GWBASIC. But it is still a choice for you if the first method is not working for you or you do not like that. Click here to download from sourceforge.net
